Dear Parents,

Welcome to the beginning of a new schoolyear!  As we gear up for School Year 2010- 2011,  we are excited to provide new learning opportunities for your children.  This past summer, the teachers have been involved in professional development  as well as in curriculum and instructional development in order to meet the changing needs of our students.  We have worked hard to prepare our students for readiness in all aspects of their development – physical, academic, emotional, and spiritual – with the end in view of making them joyful, life-long learners and ready to tackle higher-level learning experiences.

This year, we will continue to push the values formation thrust of the school knowing fully well that character formation is a foundational concern of every educational institution. 

In order to provide your children high quality education they deserve, we have set  some guidelines which we now disseminate to ensure a smooth opening of classes.  Please take note of the following:

OPENING OF CLASSES 

Classes for Prep to Grade 7 will begin on Tuesday, June 15, 2010.  Pre-School classes begin on Monday, June 21, 2010.

Class Schedule

Grade School

During the days of orientation, the Grade School students will be following the schedule below:

Regular schedule of classes will begin on June 17, Thursday.  A copy of the regular class schedule will be furnished by your child’s Class Adviser on the first day of school.

Pre-School

During the days of orientation, kindly bring your child’s diary and snacks. For classes that go beyond 12 noon, kindly let your child bring lunch food.

Caregivers and Drivers

Caregivers and drivers are not allowed to hang around the school premises to wait for their wards.  Parents are requested to instruct their caregivers and drivers to return home after bringing the children to school.

Parent’s Orientation

An afternoon has been set for Parent’s Orientation to brief you more about The Learning Child School – what to expect, what changes have taken place, and who your partners in education will be.  This will be on July 2, Friday, at 4:00 pm.
